Notable Buildings (now demolished)

Flanshaw Hall, Flanshaw Lane

Wakefield lost two notable Halls during the late 1940s with the demolistion of Alverthorpe Hall at the top of Flanshaw Hill (on the junction of Flanshaw Road and Batley Road which became the site of Flanshaw Infants School.  The demolition of Flanshaw Hall on Flanshaw Lane became St Michael's School.
