The Rhubarb Triangle

There was a time Yorkshire boasted that it grew up to 95% of the Rhubarb grown in Europe was grown within a 9 sq. mile area known as the Rhubarb Triangle. The triangle sits between Wakefield and Leeds and includes fields around Rothwell & Morley. Sadly some of the rhubarb fields are gradually disappearing having now become housing or industrial estate but Wakefield is proud of its association with this plant and host a Festival each year.
